My first visit to Delhi turned out to be a milestone in my entrepreneurial journey. 🚀
As part of my venture, Bluegreen, we introduced a new food product - a healthier version of pappadam, designed to be low in sodium and higher in nutritional value.
The idea was simple but powerful: create something people already love, but make it better for their health.
We manufactured our very first batch with a mix of excitement, nervousness, and hope. There’s something special about seeing your idea move from paper to production — from concept to packaging — and finally into the hands of customers.
And then it happened.
We packed, launched, and sold our product in Delhi… and our entire first batch was sold out.
Not only that — we were met with overwhelming demand for the next batch.
That moment was more than just sales. It was validation.
Validation of the idea.
Validation of the effort.
Validation that consumers are ready for healthier alternatives when presented the right way.
Beyond the profits (yes, we made our first profits! 🙌), this experience taught me lessons no classroom ever could:
Understanding real customer feedback
Managing production and supply challenges
The importance of positioning and storytelling
The power of taking action instead of waiting for “perfect”
Delhi gave me more than revenue — it gave me confidence.
Entrepreneurship is unpredictable, demanding, and sometimes overwhelming. But moments like these remind me why I started.
Grateful for the learnings.
Grateful for the response.
Grateful for the journey.
This is just the beginning for Bluegreen. 🌱
P.S. There is a lot more I have worked on at Bluegreen. It is the baby I have raised from the ground. Stay tuned for more!
